Totalsports Women's Race Cape ..

Run for more than a personal best. Run for the thousands of women who are, have and will be affected by breast cancer. Enter the Totalsports Women’s Race to help raise awareness of prevention and treatment. Run For Life. ​ In celebration of National Women’s Day in August, thousands of women will be on the run through the streets of Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town. Push your limits against top athletes or set your own pace and show them what it means when road meets runner. ​ Choose between 5kms or 10kms and join South African women raising awareness around breast cancer on 16 July Durban, 9 August Johannesburg and Cape Town. Strandloper Trail run

A classic 21km Coastal trail, starting from Noordhoek Sports fields and following this route - all along the Coast once you are on Noordhoek Beach. Pre entries only allowed - 250 tickets available. R390.00. Entry fee includes an awesome/quality/branded race cap, TMNP fees, Medical standby, finish line drinks, Marshalled check points and a finish line [alien wood branded] coffee/drinks coaster. Across Noordhoek's tidal section on the beach The sea on your right - Chapmans Peak and the Sentinel [Houtbay] behind you. Passing the Kakapo shipwreck Across the frsh water stream coming in from the Noordhoek and Imhoff Wetlands area. Across Kommetjie Long beach - world famous surf spots all along the way. Sunset and Dunes being some of the iconic breaks in surfing circles. At the end of the beach, into Lighthouse road to the Kommetjie Lighthouse and through the [normally locked and guarded gate] onto the Soetwater coastal path, passing ancient fish traps and middens. Passing the Old Crayfish Factory onto the beautiful Witsand beach and with the mountains ahead, stretching away toward Cape Point. Onto the original "Strandloper" trail to Misty Cliffs - passing below this sleepy seaside village, along the rock slabs. A 400m section next to the coastal road and then straight back onto the coastal path to the start of Scarborough Beach. Across this 1km of remote section of Beach before running through the quiet village of Scarborough to finish at "the Hub Cafe" - a fantastic finishing venue with quality, organic food, real coffee and craft beers!...more
